After searching through font sites, I have come to the decision of my masthead and main font of my magazine. It's from the website www.dafont.com and is called Bebas Neue.
I like this font a lot as it is exactly what had in mind for my masthead;something bold but not too military or overpowering, I feel that it also ties into the genre of rock music very well and it's not too limiting to what can be done with it. I feel that the font will allow my magazine aesthetic to be fashionable and appeal to my audience without sacrificing the primary interest of the magazine being music.
I think that I will also use this font elsewhere in my magazine, perhaps for the contents page title - as I have realised in most magazines - and maybe for the title of my DPS.
